01.Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the website awallm.com ("the Site"), interacting with the Awal LM conversational engine, or integrating the Awal LM Developer REST API, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the platform.
02.Description of Service & Mission
Awal LM (ⴰⵡⴰⵍ) is an independent open-source language model platform engineered in pure C++ specifically for the Amazigh language (Tamazight) with native Tifinagh script. The platform offers a web conversational interface, community learning tools, and a high-performance REST API for software developers and enterprise systems.
03.User Accounts & Guest Usage
A. Guest Limit
Unregistered visitors are granted a free limit of 3 messages. To continue conversations unlimitedly, visitors must create a free user account with a valid email and password.
B. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and any generated secret API keys (sk_awal_...). You accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
04.Developer API & Token Quota Policy
Developers and organizations accessing the REST API (/api/v1/chat) are subject to our token quota management system:
- Free Initial Quota: Every registered account receives a complimentary balance of 5,000 API tokens upon registration.
- Token Consumption: Tokens are automatically deducted per API request based on the combined length of the input prompt and output response.
- Quota Exhaustion: When a user's token balance reaches zero, the API returns an
HTTP 402 TOKEN_LIMIT_EXCEEDEDresponse. - Manual Purchasing & Billing: We do not operate automated recurring subscription charges. To purchase additional tokens for corporate applications or higher volume thresholds, users contact Rachid Nichan directly at contact@rachidnichan.com. Once payment is confirmed manually, tokens are immediately added to your account by administrators.
- No Reselling: You may not resell or distribute raw API keys to unauthorized third parties without prior written agreement.
05.Acceptable Use & Security Rules
Prohibited Actions:
- Attempting to bypass, circumvent, or defeat rate limiting, security filters, or token limits.
- Sending automated request floods, DDoS attacks, or vulnerability probes (e.g. searching for .env files).
- Submitting malicious scripts (XSS), SQL injection strings, or buffer overflow payloads.
- Submitting intentional spam, defamatory, or abusive content to the community review queue.
- Using the platform to generate illegal, harmful, or abusive material.
Violations of these security rules may result in immediate revocation of API keys and permanent IP blocking.
06.AI Output Disclaimer & Accuracy
Important Disclaimer Regarding AI Responses:
Awal LM outputs are generated probabilistically by a neural network. While we continuously train and curate the model using authentic Tifinagh literature and community feedback, AI responses may occasionally contain linguistic errors, dialectal variances, or inaccuracies. Awal LM is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.
07.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rachid Nichan and Awal LM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill resulting from your access to or inability to access the service or API.
